The University of Michigan’s School of Social Work is hiring a Human-Center AI and Social Impact Professor in Ann Arbor. This is a senior role for an experienced leader in social work.
From the job description, “The School of Social Work seeks an exceptional mid-career or senior scholar with an established research program at the intersection of artificial intelligence and social impact.” and “The ideal candidate will leverage AI methods and tools to address fundamental social challenges to health and wellness in communities, including homelessness, poverty, substance misuse, and other social determinants of physical and mental health. We seek a world-class scholar who will advance research on critical issues in social work by using and developing AI tools to reduce risk and promote better health outcomes, while also critically examining these tools to uncover and minimize potential bias and the systematic reproduction of inequities.”
Education/Experience:
• A doctoral degree in social work or a related field is required. An MSW degree or equivalent is preferred.
