Community Impact Manager (Des Moines)

United Way of Central Iowa is hiring a full-time Community Impact Manager. This is a full-time hybrid position.

Job responsibilities:

Facilitates and supports engagement strategies with funded programs and partners at the direction of the Community Impact Officer. This includes providing technical support, maintaining knowledge of program performance measures and outcomes and connecting partners to community resources as needed.

• Develops and manages positive relationships with community partners, agencies, diverse stakeholders and UWCI staff to identify community needs and advance UWCI organizational goals.

• At the direction of and in communication with the Community Impact Officer, support and assist in the preparation of volunteer cabinet meetings and communications.

• Works closely with the Community Impact Officer to coordinate and assist with the execution and oversight of grants awarded to UWCI in relevant areas of impact.

• Supports the Community Impact Officer in the fiscal management of related grants and/or programs, including budget development and oversight, processing of invoices, and creating payment requests.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree

• 3-5 years of nonprofit management experience
