Commercial Sexual Exploitation Survivor Advocate (Seattle)
Organization for Prostitution Survivors is hiring a Survivor Advocate.
Responsibilities:
• Participate in creating a healing community for all participants including ongoing and one-time crisis intervention or recovery services utilizing low-barrier therapeutic interventions
• Interface and build relationships with survivors of complex trauma with the intention of stabilization and referral to long-term therapeutic resources
• Liaises with the Seattle City Attorney’s Office, Seattle Police Department, and Probation to identify and provide outreach to individuals currently facing arrest through pre-filing for Prostitution offenses
• Works with participants experiencing one of the above systems to fulfill Seattle municipal code requirements for diversion and report to Seattle City Attorney’s Office, Probation, and Seattle Municipal Court on completion of diversion requirements
Education/Experience:
• Understanding of CSE through lived experience and/or work/education history
• Understanding of incarceration, reentry, and criminal justice systems through lived experience and/or work/education history
• Knowledge and experience with local social service systems and resources
• Confidence and experience in utilizing general tech and computer skills (OPS primarily uses GSuite and Apricot Social Solutions)
• Experience partnering and networking with agencies
